"At first glance a semester in Southeast Asia
seemed well beyond my means, but through a combination
of UW and national scholarships and loans, I was able
to get the whole program paid for. My advice for anyone
considering a study-abroad program would be 'don't limit
yourself!', apply for many scholarships, especially if
you meet 2 or 3 criteria, and you will be surprised how
much money and support is out there for motivated students
who normally rely on full financial aid funding."

How to Apply for IAP Administered Scholarships
If the scholarship chart refers to an online application for an IAP administered scholarship, program applications must be submitted to receive a link to apply for scholarships. Scholarship application deadlines are after program application deadlines, so students do not need to worry about missing a scholarship deadline.
After submitting a program application, students are given a link to apply for scholarships at the top of the page. If this link is missed, don’t worry, there is also a link to “Apply for Scholarships” on the left navigation bar as students log back into their program application.
After accessing the scholarship application, a student’s program(s) will be displayed along with a list of scholarships currently accepting applications. The scholarship drop-down list states whether an essay is required. If an essay is required, the essay criteria displays after the scholarship description once the scholarship is picked form the list. A text box is available to enter your essay which can be saved and edited until the scholarship deadline stated in the IAP Scholarship Chart. If NO essay is required, students skip over the text box and click on the SUBMIT button to be considered for a scholarship.
