Maya participated in the UW Global Launch In London program for the 2022-2024 academic year in London, England. She is currently a Junior double majoring in Psychology & African-American Studies with a certificate in Gender & Women’s Studies. While on her program, she enjoyed immersing herself in the heavily diverse boroughs of London, as well as exploring the theatre and art scene. Her time abroad gave her a new perspective of how diverse cultures function in a large city and the importance of blending cultures to create community.
