Bethy Havas is a junior who studied abroad at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in the spring semester of 2025. She was very excited to experience living on another continent and to expand her knowledge of global experiences and perspectives. While abroad, Bethy took classes in subjects such as Disability Activism, Television and Streaming, and Indigenous Australian languages and ecology. She especially liked visiting different neighborhoods in the city center, traveling to national parks around Victoria, experiencing all the nature the country has to offer, and learning about Australian customs and culture from classmates on campus. Bethy knows she will look back fondly on her time living in Melbourne, as she felt incredibly welcomed by all the city has to offer, and is looking forward to helping other students follow on their own journeys!
