As a Study Abroad Advisor in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, I advise students as they explore their program options and manage a portfolio of faculty-led and exchange programs all over the world. During undergrad I studied French Language and Literature and Art History, and studied abroad in Grenoble, France, during my junior year. Being away from the U.S. for that long made me nervous at first, but I eventually loved being immersed in a different culture and developing my language skills by living with a host family. After graduation I was eager to return abroad so I participated in the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) and taught English in a primary school near Lyon, France for two years. These formative experiences and the international friendships that I made solidified my interest helping others have similar opportunities by working in international education. Prior to joining UW Study Abroad, I completed the Professional French Masters Program at UW-Madison, which is geared towards gaining professional skills and using the language as a tool in your career. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading, spending time with friends and family, and discovering new hikes and bike rides through Wisconsin’s beautiful nature.
