Joseph is a senior and studied abroad during the spring semester of 2025. As someone who had always been fascinated with Norway, the opportunity to live and study in an authentically Norwegian environment and engage with students from the country as well as the rest of the world was an irreplaceable experience. As Norway is one of the global leaders in energy innovation, being able to study niche engineering topics such as hydropower and reservoir fluids were valuable additions to his academic pursuits. While intimidating at first, one of Joseph’s favorite aspects of his program was being one of only a handful of Americans in Trondheim. The opportunity to branch out and build friendships that span across the world motivated him to recommend studying abroad to anyone and everyone.
