Caroline studied abroad at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia during Spring Semester 2024. While abroad, Caroline took courses in Functional Biology of Marine Organisms, Marine Biogeography, and Evolutionary Biology. Caroline has always found herself to be fascinated with the marine world, and through this program she found that she was able to gain an even greater appreciation and understanding for this subject area. Some of Caroline’s favorite memories from her study abroad experience include scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, collecting data on fringing reef flora and fauna during a class field trip, and taking surfing lessons. Caroline looks back on her study abroad experience very fondly and hopes to be able to incorporate the knowledge gained from this program into her future career and possible graduate studies!
