Amneet studied abroad in London, England during the Spring 2026 semester. Amneet also had an internship abroad at Ashden as a data and sustainability intern which expanded her perspective around sustainability work around the world. Amneet’s favorite part of her London program was exploring museums around London, some of which she visited in her classes. Amneet also spent her time abroad taking day trips around England, walking around London’s Royal Parks, connecting to her own Punjabi heritage in London, exploring the London food scene, and spending time with her family in England.
Amneet also studied away in Montana through the Wild Rockies Field Institute, and studied environmental ethics in this program. This was Amneet’s first time backpacking and Amneet incredibly enjoyed hearing from Native American tribal leaders, climate scientists, land managers, and conservationists. This program required Amneet to analyze and reflect human-land relationships, Indigenous perspectives, and ecological impacts of climate change on alpine ecosystems. You can read more about Amneet’s experience through her final WRFI blog.
