As a Study Abroad Advisor, I advise students and manage study abroad programs in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece, and New Zealand.  I grew up in Iowa and went to college planning to major in Education with the hope of being a teacher one day.  My plans changed after I discovered the field of Student Affairs in higher education – a career path I didn’t even realize existed prior to attending college. As an undergraduate I worked in residence life and in grad school I focused on student activities. I traveled abroad for the first time as a freshman in college, when I visited my dad’s hometown in Germany.  As a graduate student, I had the opportunity to intern at the University of Liverpool in England.  Living abroad was the first time I experienced true independence, and I love that my job connects me with students who want to experience something new.  I love cooking (and cooking shows), podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.
