Position title: CALS Study Abroad Advisor & Programs Manager

116 Ag Hall

As a Study Abroad Advisor with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, I advise CALS students as they explore study abroad options and manage a portfolio of programs (open to all majors) that span the globe. I am originally from Virginia where I grew up in a multiethnic Korean-American family. I majored in Spanish and English at the University of Virginia and studied abroad in Valencia, Spain where I lived with a host family and spent my weekends hiking and exploring the surrounding region. Studying abroad vastly increased my Spanish abilities, my independence, and my perspective. That experience later led me to work for organizations in Ecuador and Chile and complete a Master’s degree in International Education at George Washington University. I have worked as an advisor at Virginia Tech, GWU’s Elliott School of International Affairs, and UW-Madison, and always look forward to meeting with students. Outside of work, I enjoy social dancing (ballroom, salsa, bachata, swing, etc), hiking with my dog, reading, and staying in touch with family and friends.
