Larissa Yankovich

Biography

As a Study Abroad Advisor and International Programs Manager with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, I advise CALS students as they explore study abroad options, manage a portfolio of study abroad programs open to all majors, and provide support to study abroad students before, during, and after their international experience.

I attended UW-Madison and majored in World Language Education and French. Before joining the CALS team, I taught in the US and in France, worked in the nonprofit field supporting access to education, and was an Enrollment Manager in UW-Madison’s International Academic Programs office. The experiences I had abroad as a young adult shaped my sense of self and my values, and I’m passionate about making international experiences accessible for our students. My favorite part about my work is hearing students describe the growth they experienced while abroad – the increased confidence, ability to problem-solve, and new perspectives gained.

Outside of work, I prioritize time outdoors, seeing live music, dancing, visiting farmers markets, reading, and planning my next trip.
