Biography

As Wisconsin in Washington (WiW) Program Coordinator, I assist and advise students in finding internship opportunities in Washington, DC, and provide on-site support to those students during the WiW program.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a minor in Japanese, and a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate. Education has always been important to me. During my time at university, I took on roles that engaged students, such as being a Resident Assistant and a Supplemental Instructor.

Post-graduation, I taught English on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program and the Chiba-Wisconsin Program, totaling seven years. (Wisconsin and Chiba are sister states!) Upon returning to the US, I continued strengthening US-Japan relations and education as a JET Program Coordinator at the Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC.

In my free time, I enjoy playing board games and music, biking, dancing, attending DC events, and many other hobbies.
