Many identity-based scholarships exist to support students with specific social identities and personal backgrounds in studying abroad. These identities may include but are not limited to:
- Actively Serving, Student Veteran, Military-affiliated Students
- First Generation College Students
- LGBTQ+ Students
- Racial and/or Ethnic Minority Students
- Students with Disabilities
In addition, merit-based and need-based scholarships may also take a student’s multiple identities into consideration as part of their larger application.
We advise that all students reflect on their unique set of identities and then review our Scholarship Chart, which includes a number of identity-based scholarships. The Scholarship Chart is a great place to start but is not comprehensive, and we encourage you to search for other scholarships as well.
As you craft your application materials, we encourage you to utilize the Writing Center and/or reach out to your Study Abroad Advisor with any questions.
